Schwartz designated 2008 as the U.S. Transportation Command’s “Year of Visibility.” The articles beginning on pages 2, 4, 6, and 10, focus on asset visibility and in-transit visibility, which are critical to Army logistics operations. To maintain communication and in-transit visibility, Soldiers in the field use radios and systems like Blue Force Tracker, Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below, and Movement Control System.
