Government civilian students scheduled to attend ORSA MAC during the proposed furlough period
(8 July - 30 September 2013) may be adversely impacted based on the ALU class schedule. Agencies should consider this when deciding whether to enroll their students in ORSA MAC classes for the remainder of FY13. The following guidance is provided:
1) ORSA MAC will continue as a five-day-a-week course with five instructional days per week. Furloughed civilian students will miss one instructional day per week.
2) The number of instructional days missed by ORSA MAC class is listed below.
a. Class 13-004: 6 instructional days (9.09% of instructional
time)
b. Class 13-005: 7 instructional days (10.61% of instructional
time)
c. Class 13-006: 3 instructional days (4.55% of instructional
time)
3. Students who miss 20% or more of the instructional time will receive a certificate of attendance, but not a graduation diploma.
4. Academic standards and graduation requirements will not be modified.
5. All students are responsible for mastering all academic material and completing all graded exercises. Students will be given the opportunity to make up missed exams, but make up classes will not be taught.
