FORT LEE, VA (May 17, 2010) -- The Army Logistics University (ALU) hosted the Jordanian Armed Forces female visit, 4-6 May 10. The intent of the visit was to discuss how the U.S. integrates and uses females across our formations and the unique situation faced by women serving in the military. Three days were packed full with stops to key areas on Fort Lee. Places visited included the Kenner Army Health Clinic, Troop Medical Clinic, ALU, U.S. Army Women’s Museum, Army Community Services, Soldier Support Center, Quartermaster School Petroleum and Water Department, Joint Culinary Center of Excellence, and the Aerial Delivery and Field Services Department; Garrison activities included visits to the Provost Marshal, Equal Opportunity, and Retention Offices, as well as an installation tour enhanced by a drive across the flyover bridge to the Ordnance School where they toured the Training, Systems, and Education Department and the barracks. The visit culminated with a Staff Ride to the Petersburg Battlefield narrated by Dr. Steve Anders, the Sustainment Center of Excellence Historian.
