The Army Logistics University education building becomes Heiser Hall

FORT LEE, VA (Nov. 10, 2010) -- On 10 Nov 2010, the ALU Education Building was memorialized in honor of LTG Joseph M. Heiser, Jr., former US Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG), who rose from the rank of Private to Lieutenant General. The ceremony was hosted by Major General James L. Hodge, the Commanding General of the US Army Combined Arms Support Command Sustainment Center of Excellence. The building will be referred to as “Heiser Hall.” LTG Heiser’s belongings, to include the book he authored, “A Soldier Supporting Soldiers,” an array of medals and a uniform worn in his early days of service are showcased in the display in the lobby of Heiser Hall.
