1. Who may borrow from the Army Logistics University Library?

Direct borrowing privileges with approval are extended to the Fort Lee military and civilian personnel (both active and retired) with appropriate identification. Other persons are encouraged to use their local library.

2. What is the shelving classification scheme?

Library of Congress classification.

3. How are holdings acquired?

Selected materials are acquired from library vendors and Government agencies.

4. Are there typewriters for patron use?

No

5. Are there computers for patron use?

Yes, there are computers for patron use on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library, rooms 2010 and 3010.

6. Can I bring food and drink into the library?

No food or drink is allowed in the Library.

7. What is Interlibrary Loan??

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that obtains study and research materials from other sources that are not available at our facility.

8. How do I use Interlibrary Loan?

Through ILL, authorized ALU Library patrons may have access to books, journal articles, periodicals, government publications, videos, and other materials not owned or available from the ALU Library. ILL is not guaranteed since it is entirely up to the holding institution whether or not they will loan their material. To see more information about Interlibrary Loans, please click here.

14 days

10. Where is the library located?

It is located in the U.S. Army Logistics University, 562 Quarters Road, Bldg. 12420, 2nd and 3rd Floors.

11. What are the library hours?

Library Hours are:
Monday - Friday - 0800 - 1900
Saturday - 1000-1700
Sunday - 1200-1700
The Library is closed on federal Holidays
