Overview
The Army Logistics University (ALU) Library develops, maintains, and evaluates collections designed to support and enhance the ALU staff, faculty, and student curricular needs. The continued systematic development of the collection is an integral part of achieving library goals.
Book Collection
This collection encompasses materials to support the educational curriculum of ALU/Fort Lee community in general. Subjects emphasized are Logistics, Management, Acquisition, Business and Finance, Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Management, and Military Science and History with an emphasis on Quartermaster history.
Reference Collection
The collection consists of dictionaries, encyclopedias, yearbooks, atlases, gazetteers, handbooks and periodical indexes. Reference materials are generally not available for loan, but can be used in the library area. Check with the library staff.
Governement Publications
The ALU Library has a collection of official documents. Collection strengths are in Congressional and Legislative data, Government Budget, Environment, and statistical publications from the Bureau of Census. You will find these documents in the Reference Section of the library and are generally not available for check out, but can be used in the library.
The Government Publications section also includes a supplementary collection of military publications maintained by ALU Library for ALU/Fort Lee community use ONLY.

Audio / Visual Collection
This collection includes videos, mostly on a variety of historical armed conflicts. The
collection supports the educational curriculum of the University and the materials are
available for loan.
Periodical Collection
The ALU Library currently subscribes to approximately 150 periodicals and 4 daily
newspapers. The back files of many of these periodicals are maintained in the Library.
Check with the library staff for back issues that you may need.
