IMS Needing Social Sponsors
Most international military students (IMS) are in the United States for the first and only time. It is very important that these men and women understand our country as it really is, not just from things they have heard before coming here. The International Military Student Social Sponsor Program is a hospitality program designed to provide international students, and possibly their families, an opportunity to become acquainted with American life in the broadest sense.
A social sponsor agrees to take a genuine interest in the student and help him gain an understanding of the American people by giving him an opportunity to participate in home and community activities. All of the students speak English.
This is a great opportunity to broaden both your and the international student’s horizons and to make the world a smaller place.
