Scope:

Phase II is conducted at Fort Lee, VA, at selected installations that request an onsite class, at the Professional Education Center (PEC) at North Little Rock, AR, and as an elective at the Command and General Staff College (CGSC). The course provides an overview of multifunctional sustainment functions in the division and brigade combat team areas. It also provides tactics, techniques, and procedures that can be used by support operations officers. The first week of instruction focuses on tactical logistics. At the end of the first week, the technical aspects of support operations are presented. This includes lecture and discussion on the management of sustainment information in support of operating forces. The second week of the course focuses on integrating the concepts learned in the first week into logistics planning using the military decision making process. This course, with Phase I, meets the educational requirements as specified in DA PAM 600-3 to award the Logistics (LG) Branch designation.

Special Information:

Recommend procession of a personal or government loaned notebook (or media tablet) installed with Microsoft Windows 7 or higher that will operate stand-alone.

Prerequisites:

Officer nominees must be a CPT or above or CW2 or above and must have completed the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course or a logistics officer/WO advanced course. Senior NCO nominees must be graduates of Senior Leader Course (SLC), a SSG (P) or above, and be assigned or anticipate being assigned as a Support Operations NCOIC within one year after completing the course. Personnel who do not meet the prerequisites may request waiver from the course director. All nominees must have successfully completed the Support Operations Course (Phase I) via web based US Army Correspondence Course (School Code 553) at www.atrrs.army.mil prior to attending Phase 2.
