Scope:

This course provides Warrant Officers with information and training in TRADOC mandated common military subjects; branch specific functions; and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) tasks required for mid-career level positions and assignments for MOS 922A. Students receive in depth training on food service procedures from division level to user level; food management, contract management; applied food service sanitation; nutrition and culinary arts; accounting administration; subsistence supply; Army feeding; current and future systems; emerging Army logistics, tactics, ethics; and development of and caring for subordinates and families. Students are introduced to Force XXI initiatives to include the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) concept.

This course consists of two phases: Phase 1 is ADT, and Phase 2 is ADT. Phase 1, ADT, is 174.5 hours of academic plus 16 administrative hours in duration. Phase 2, ADT, is 170.5 hours of academic plus 14 administrative hours in duration. Phase 1 must be completed prior to transitioning to Phase 2. Students may attend phases consecutively or separately; however, both phases must be completed within a 13 month period.

Special Information:

This course is based on two phases: Phase 1 is ADT, and Phase 2 is ADT. Phase 1 must be completed prior to transitioning to Phase 2.

Students will take the APFT within 72 hours of enrollment. Soldier attending institutional training must meet height and weight standards of AR 600-9 and the physical fitness standards of AR 350-1 as a graduation requirement. Students who fail the APFT will be provided one retest. Retest date will be determined by students command.

Prior to the start of each class, the SGL will provide vignettes to students covering Army values, ethics, and quartermaster history.

Students who have completed Food Service Contract Management within 1 year of attending Phase 1 with a score of 90% or higher may be exempt from completing the FSCM requirement in Phase 1. Student must have the graduation certificate available for WOBC Director validation.

 

   

Prerequisites:

Warrant Officers of the Active Army or Reserve Component selected for accession in MOS 922A. Attendees must have successfully completed the Warrant Officer Candidate School. Date of Rank as a WO1 must be prior to the start date of the course. Must meet height and weight standards IAW AR 600-9 and be able to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) in order to be enrolled in the course.
