Scope:

MOS 89D EOD Team leader duties/responsibilities during Explosive Ordnance Disposal incident response to Conventional; Chemical / Biological incidents to include Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs); Conduct Technical Intelligence Operations; Formulate Render Safe Procedures (RSP); Perform EOD Procedures to Remove Lodged Projectiles; Identify Foreign Military and Commercial Explosives; Plan Demolition Operations; Plan Construction of Protective Works; Perform EOD Team Leader Responsibilities on Large Scale Clearance Operations, Chemical, Conventional and IED Incidents; Perform Hand Entry Techniques; Supervise Emergency Personnel Decontamination Station (EPDS) Operations; Conduct Force Protection Operations in Support of External Agencies; Conduct Team Administrative/Logistic Integration in a DS Role; Conduct Crater, Fragmentation and Post Blast Analysis; Perform EOD Team Leader Responsibilities on a Depleted Uranium incident, Large Improvised Explosive Device Incident; Perform EOD Procedures using Explosive Water Based Tools; Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) training; and a 120-hour cumulative end-of-course Field Training Exercise (FTX).

Special Information:

USASMA developed Advanced Leader Course (ALC) (formerly called BNCOC)Common Core distributed Learning (dL)/Video Teletraining (VTT) must also be completed to be considered a course graduate. This material may be completed before, during or after any Phase of this course.

Physical Fitness Training will be conducted before or after the academic day at the rate of at least 5 hours per week. Soldiers unable to meet the DA Standard will not be enrolled in the course and WILL BE processed for dismisal IAW TRADOC Reg 350-18.

A TOP SECRET security clearance is required to attend this course and hold MOS 89D30.

 

   

Prerequisites:

Active Army and Reserve Component enlisted personnel selected by US Army Human Resources Command (Active Army) or recommended by unit commander (Reserve Component) qualified in MOS 89D. Meets the requirements outlined in AR 351-1, para 5-14. First priority will be given to SSGs and SGT(P)s. Second priority will be given SGTs and CPL(P)/SPC(P)s who, because of unit shortages, are performing in positions for which the training is designed. All must have successfully completed the Warrior Leader Course (WLC), or equivalent, at least six months before attending this course. Soldier must be qualified and proficient in all 55D skill level 1-2 tasks prior to the start of the course.

All BNCOC students will be responsible for successfully completing the Commander's Safety Course (CSC) training via distributed learning (dL) at https://crc.army.mil (the CSC can be found embedded in the Composite Risk Management section) prior to attendance at BNCOC or at the eOrdnanceU website while attending BNCOC. Completion of this training is a mandatory graduation requirement. NOTE: If the student completes the training prior to attending BNCOC, the completion of the course will be tracked by the Combat Readiness Center Learning Management System (CRC LMS). Their system is capable of providing the student with a certificate of completion. The student will present this certificate upon arrival to BNCOC or during the course as evidence of completion.
