All Army military students will sign in at ALU, BLDG 12420, NLT 2400 hours on the report date.
Reporting early to Fort Lee is NOT authorized except for Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (CLC3) students and AC BOLC students called to immediate active duty. CLC3 students should arrive at least 2 weeks prior to their class start date in order to in-process. The report date for all other ALU classes is ONE day prior to the actual class start date to allow for travel.
NCOA students attending Advanced Leaders Course (ALC, formerly BNCOC) and the Senior Leaders Course (SLC, formerly ANCOC) will report to ALU, Bldg 12420 NLT 0600 on the start date of class, dressed in PT uniform.
ON-POST GOVERNMENT TRANSPORTATION (I.E., BUSES) FOR OTHER THAN ADVANCED INDIVIDUAL TRAINING (AIT) STUDENTS IS NOT AVAILABLE. Per DA MSG 162330Z Feb 06, sending commands are encouraged to authorize a rental car for those that fly.
All students attending ALU courses will need either a credit card or cash advance prior to attending school for their meal purchases. Meals are NOT covered under the Institutional Training Directed Lodging and Meal Policy (ITDLMP). There are several places on campus and around post to eat and there are a variety of restaurants around Ft Lee within 5 miles of the campus. ALU, in coordination with the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) provides accommodations to increase accessibility for persons with disabilities. Scanners, readers, large print display processors, talking calculators, talking dictionaries, zoom text software, speech synthesizers, and Braille embossers are available for the visually impaired. Telecommunication and amplification devices and closed-caption decoders are available for the hearing impaired. Left- and right-hand keyboards and a mouth stick are available for students with limited hand movement. Soundproof software is available for students with learning disabilities.
Students who require the services of a sign language interpreter for training that is 2 days or longer may submit an application through their supervisors and training officers to the DOD Computer Electronic Accommodations Program Office (CAP Office), TRICARE Management Activity, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs), 5111 Leesburg Pike, Suite 810, Falls Church, VA 22041-3206. The CAP Office must receive the application at least 4 weeks in advance of the date of the service.
Training officers must indicate in ATRRS that the student has a disability, the nature of the disability, and that a CAP application has been submitted, if necessary. A copy of that application should be faxed to the ALMC Registrar at DSN 539-4240 or (804) 765-4240.
Incoming calls for students during duty hours should be directed to the Student Services Office, DSN 539-4737/4368 or (804) 765-4737/4368. TDY/Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) Orders Students should bring a minimum of 10 legible copies of TDY/TAD orders with them to ALMC. Three copies (U.S. Army military personnel, four copies) are needed for in processing. Some places of lodging also require orders. Students must have at least one copy of their orders with them at all times.
