The prime objective of this program is to provide career military officers and Department of Defense civilians with comprehensive integrated knowledge of logistics as an enabler to the DOD's logistical transformation strategy. The uniqueness and intent of the NLC is reflected in its mandated core competencies upon degree completion.
The Core competencies define the core skill sets that graduates are expected to gain as an outcome of the program. These skills have been identified as catalysts for logisticians as they support the Warfighter in austere situations and ever changing environments.
Today's military logisticians must be adaptive, versatile, and flexible to integrate huge quantities of materials and equipment to support unique and complex logistics requirements; the NLC was established to ensure that logisticians received appropriate training.
The National Logistics Curriculum is an Army program that has partnered with national universities to provide logistics officers and selected civilians with a transformative educational experience.
